Reform of the oriental gallery of the cloister of Sant Francesc in Palma de Mallorca. The Convent of Sant Francesc is a typical Mallorcan Gothic group formed by the minor basilica of the same name, the cloister and several attached buildings. Construction began at the end of the 13th century. Due to the marine environment of Palma, the crystallization of marine salts is the main cause of alteration between the different elements that make up the gallery. The fundamental criteria that govern the project are the minimum necessary intervention and stability, given the specific characteristics of the object. This -in practice- translates into the replacement of the minimum essential parts to ensure the structural stability of the building and the safety of its users.
